1. Introduction

Found & Co LLC d/b/a Small Great Ventures (“GoodChat”) is dedicated to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of any GoodChat-owned websites, applications, software, or associated services (collectively, the “Platform”).

Our Privacy Policy discloses our privacy practices and explains how we collect, store, use, transfer, and share your personal information. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically as we may revise it from time to time without notice. If you do not agree with or accept our Privacy Policy in its entirety, you must not access or use the Platform.

Where any term is not defined in this Privacy Policy, that term shall have the meaning given in our Terms of Use.

2. Information Collected

Personal Information

Personal information means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed or anonymized.

You are not required to provide us with personal information to visit or use most portions of the Platform. However, we may collect personal information if you choose to engage with certain features (for example, by participating in a survey).

During your use of the Platform, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, and mailing address
  • Gender, race, or date of birth (if voluntarily shared)
  • Political or demographic information (if voluntarily shared for research or survey purposes)
  • Device identifiers, phone UID, or browser metadata
  • User Content and interactions on the Platform

We may also collect payment information if you make any purchases or transactions through the Platform.

Automatically Collected Information

Whenever you use the Platform, we may collect non-identifying information such as your IP address, time zone, interactions with the Platform, browser type, referring URL, operating system, and general location data. This helps us understand Platform performance and user behavior.

3. Anonymized Data

We may collect and analyze anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated data for research and reporting purposes. This data cannot be traced back to you personally.

4. Storage and Security of Information

We take data protection seriously.

  • Data Security: All data is stored in a secure, SOC 2–certified database environment. We use encryption, access controls, and regular audits to maintain industry-standard safeguards.
  • No PHI or Sensitive Data: GoodChat does not collect, process, or store Personal Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA.
  • No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade any personally identifying information (PII) to third parties.
  • Data Residency: All Platform data is securely stored in the United States.
  • Limited Access: Access to any personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to operate or improve the Platform, subject to strict confidentiality and security obligations.

While we take commercially reasonable steps to protect all information, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

5. Sharing and Use of Your Information

You consent to our use of your information for the following purposes:

  • Contract Administration – To negotiate, execute, and manage our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
  • Platform Access & Communications – To provide access, respond to inquiries, and manage your participation in surveys or related activities.
  • Improving the Platform – To train our team, enhance Platform functionality, and understand user interests.
  • Research – To analyze aggregated demographic and behavioral trends (never including PHI).
  • Third-Party Services – To enable functionality provided by vetted vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, or survey processing). These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal Compliance – To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect the safety and rights of users and the public.

We may share anonymized, aggregated data publicly for research or reporting purposes, but this will never include personal identifiers.

6. Retention of Personal Information

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. We may retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

While information is retained, we protect it using commercially reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.

7. Accessing and Editing Your Information

If you wish to review or modify your personal information, please contact hello@goodchats.co. We will respond to such requests in a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal and operational requirements.

8. Removal of Information

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@goodchats.co. Deletion requests will be processed in accordance with applicable law and Section 5 (Retention). Some information may remain in our archives if required for legal, compliance, or record-keeping purposes.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to understand Platform usage, remember preferences, and improve functionality. You may adjust your browser settings to disable cookies, though doing so may affect Platform performance.

10. Opting Out and Do Not Track

If you provide contact information, you consent to receiving communications from us. You may opt out of certain communications at any time using the unsubscribe instructions in those messages.
We do not currently respond to browser-based “Do Not Track” signals.

11. Third Parties

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites. These third parties are not governed by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit. GoodChat is not responsible for their practices.

12. Security Measures

GoodChat employs physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect your information, consistent with SOC 2 standards. These measures include encryption, secure hosting environments, multi-factor authentication, and regular security reviews.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

13. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may request information about how we share personal data with third parties for direct marketing. GoodChat complies with the California Business and Professions Code §§ 22575–22579. Contact hello@goodchats.co for inquiries about your California privacy rights.

14. Age Compliance

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.

15. International Transfers

If you are outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.

16. Merger or Acquisition

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will ensure that the receiving party is bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations consistent with this Policy.

17. Amendments

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Modified” date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree, you must cease using the Platform.
